Team Peel Shines at CWSF 2026

Team Peel proudly represented the Peel Region Science Fair at the Canada-Wide Science Fair 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta, from May 23 to 30. This year was an outstanding success, with all six Team Peel finalists earning medals on the national stage. Together, Team Peel brought home five Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal, along with special and challenge awards that recognized the students’ innovation, research, creativity, and dedication to STEM. From experiments to exploration! This year’s CWSF tour day took us from Fort Edmonton, to the Telus World of Science and the iconic West Edmonton Mall. Our trip around the city brought curiosity to life through discovery, laughter, and friendships that made every stop unforgettable.

Our CWSF finalists met the judges and many other talented young scientists! We celebrated their unique projects and skills which we know ‘wow’-ed the judges over the two-day judging period. Did you know CWSF finalists are not only incredibly smart, they are talented too?! They know how to have fun and light up the stage!

 From travelling here and setting up our projects to finally seeing everything come together, it’s already been such an incredible experience!

We wrapped up the first days with a fun BBQ, and activity stations courtesy of the University of Alberta. We’ve met some amazing people and shared what we’ve been working on. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings!
