About Peel Region Science Fair

The Science Fair in Mississauga, later expanding to the Peel Region, was created through a partnership between science teachers and the Rotary Club of Clarkson (now Rotary Club of Mississauga West). Organized by Guy Marlatt and local science educators, the first fair was held in 1970 at the Sheridan Park Curling Club with support from the Rotary Club. It grew in size with participation from more schools and backing from local school boards. Eventually, the event found a permanent location at Erindale College (now the University of Toronto at Mississauga).
